India’s largest car manufacturer, Tata Motors, has launched the BS6 version of its popular Safari SUV. The Safari is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. It is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 variants. The Safari is an important model for Tata Motors as it accounts for over 20 percent of its total domestic sales. While the Safari BS6 will be available across the country, it will be launched in Delhi on 17 May. Tata Motors has also launched the Safari Storme in BS6 trim. The Storme is powered by a 1. 4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque. It is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 variants
