The Hyundai Santro is a hatchback car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. It was launched in 1998, and became one of the best-selling cars in India. It was discontinued in 2014, but relaunched in 2018. The Santro has been one of Hyundai’s most successful models in India, with over 3 lakh units sold since its launch. The first generation car was launched in 1998 as a competitor to the Maruti Suzuki Zen, and the Tata Indica. It had an overall length of 3,995 mm (157 in) and a wheelbase of 2,350 mm (94 in). The second generation Santro, launched in 2004 and based on the same platform as the Hyundai Getz.
