Mahindra XUV 500 is a sport utility vehicle manufactured by Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra. The XUV500 was launched in September 2011. It is also one of the first vehicles in its class to offer six airbags. The Mahindra XUV 500 is available with two engine options: a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and a 2. 5-litre mHawk diesel engine. The XUV500 comes with a five-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic gearbox. The XUV500 is available in a single variant with five seats.
